Powerful Holiday Weekend Activity!
Amazing how working a plan seems to work! The long holiday weekend was a wealth of opportunity for those that were out and committed to the plan. New contracts keep flowing in and a wave of updated preapprovals and new preapprovals seemed to just keep coming. The only “dry spot” seemed to be in Arizona, but it was 112 degrees and many in the Phoenix area would rather stay inside than go shopping it seems! The good news is that at least the effort was made, and seeds planted for the future.
Lots of economic data this week and the jobs report from June on Friday. We could see more volatility until we see the upcoming CPI and PPI numbers and the next Fed meeting. But I still believe inflation will relax and the Fed will soon follow. I also still see rates falling into the 5’s this year, but either way, people are still buying homes and refinancing. You just have to be out in front of the people providing value and the stories on how people are winning in this market!
Old-fashioned retail sales have really been a refreshing sight! People like meeting other people and connecting. Maybe it’s just a reaction to being isolated during Covid, or maybe because so many people are finding joy in getting out and just being with other people, but whatever the reason, you need to have your plan ready and implemented to take advantage of these opportunities.
